Membership

Becoming a member is easy and it’s the best way to be on top of everything that’s happening at The Fox! Our annual memberships start at $75 and go up to $2,500 (or higher!). As your support increases, so do your benefits. At the basic ($75) level, you get advance notice of all Fox Presents shows, concessions discounts, and 2 free passes to every classic film screening we do.

At the $250 level, members get exclusive access to our Lovitt & Touche Donor Lounge—open 25-30 nights each year. The lounge is located in the “Fox Den”–one level below the main lobby–and offers a full bar, free popcorn and snacks, and convenient access to our Fox Den restrooms. To access the lounge just show your membership card to the usher at the top of the stairs. The Lounge opens one hour before show time and closes 10 minutes after showtime or intermission (if the show has an intermission). Another perk of the $250 level is an opportunity for you and a guest to “Meet and Greet” a favorite artist each year (some restrictions apply).

Sidewalk Star

This is your opportunity to have your name displayed prominently in the “Fox Walk of Fame” as a sidewalk “star.” These terrazzo and brass stars are permanently recessed into the sidewalk in front of the Fox Theatre, along Congress Street.

Buy a Seat

Fox Tucson Theatre features restored original seating. Each seat has been restored to its 1930’s appearance and seat underwriters have their name permanently affixed to their seats. Seats cost $1,000 to underwrite.

Planned Giving

With potential financial advantages to your estate, such a gift reflects your dedication to The Fox Tucson Theatre Foundation for the generations, while avoiding possible tax liabilities for your family and other beneficiaries.

How to Give

The Fox currently accepts three types of planned gifts: charitable bequests; IRA or Pension Plan Beneficiary Gifts; and outright gifts from your IRA today. A brief description of each type of gift is offered below.

Charitable Bequests

A bequest is a gift made through your will or living trust. There are several types of bequests you can designate to ensure that your gift will be made in a way that honors your legacy: you can stipulate a gift of a specific dollar amount, or property such as stock, to be donated to The Fox; or you can select a percentage of the value of your estate to be given. Your intent to make such a bequest to The Fox can be made clear in your will or living trust using simple yet explicit language, upon consultation with your attorney.

IRA or 401K Planned Gift

Consider naming The Fox as a beneficiary of your IRA or pension plan. Retirement plans may be subject to estate taxes after death and income tax as the funds are received by a beneficiary, diminishing the ultimate value of the account. But by naming The Fox, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, as a beneficiary, both of these taxes can be avoided, allowing you to leave your family other assets that incur less tax liability.

Give from Your IRA Today

If you are 70 ½ years of age or older, you can make a tax-free gift from your IRA today! This generous, tax-wise gift will help you make the most of your legacy while supporting The Fox now.

Volunteer

Volunteers play a vital role at the Fox. Whatever your assigned tasks, you’ll enjoy being a part of a dynamic, performing arts-loving team while having the opportunity to see world-class artists.

Become an Usher

The Fox Theatre is blessed with a wonderful and committed team of ushers who volunteer their time to help make our patron experience as positive as possible. We have over 150 performances and tens of thousands of patrons every year, each of whom needs to get from the front door to their seat and have an enjoyable experience at the Fox. We rely almost exclusively on volunteers to make this possible. Usher responsibilities include: Greeting guests (and tearing tickets) at the door, directing and assisting patrons to their seats, helping patrons navigate our lobbies (concession areas, restrooms, etc.), light cleaning of the theatre after the show, and more.

Fundraising Event Support

Throughout the year, the Fox development committee plans and oversees various fundraising events and donor receptions. Volunteer assistance is welcome in both planning and execution of these events.

The Fox Foundation Office Support

We occasionally need office support (weekdays, daytime) to organize show collateral, answer phones, file documents, and various other types of light office work.

College Internships

We just may have the most fun internships available in Tucson! Not only do you get the chance to see great shows and work (and learn from) our staff of experienced show business professionals, you might also get to meet a few of your favorite artists along the way! There is always a lot of action happening at the Fox and our hands-on interns are right in the middle of it all. We offer flexible hours, but only reliable and enthusiastic students should apply.

Students pursuing degrees in theatre arts, music, film and similar fields tend to work out well, as do business, theatre management, marketing and/or non-profit management students.
