The Impossible is Possible. Always Chasing Rainbows is a week-long celebration of The Fox’s enduring legacy at the heart of a vibrant, resilient Tucson. The Fox turned 90 this year and went from achieving a milestone year of success, with more live concerts and bigger audiences than ever, to facing an unprecedented contagion that forced an extended shutdown and one of the greatest challenges in its already storied history.
Our history is a tale of community investment, determination, and most importantly the irreplaceable role of the arts at the center of a thriving city.
Our present is a moment of pause, an intermission that reminds us just how vital the arts are as a key ingredient in any recipe for community success.
Our future is…up to all of us together. So, here we are, inviting you to join us for a uniquely whimsical celebration of our community – thriving through adversity, rising up, facing our challenges together and always chasing rainbows.
The event will consist of digital and streaming content that celebrates our history, pays tribute to the resiliency of our community, and invites everyone to participate in paving the future we all know is possible. Throughout the week, The Fox will be sharing videos, hosting an online auction with some amazing items, singing songs both old and brand new (we’re hinting at a surprise here, so take notice) — all culminating in a free, live-stream event on October 25 that honors Fox lovers and everyone else throughout our community.
This weeklong celebration is our way of reaching out to all of you, our family of supporters, to acknowledge how much we miss you and celebrate our community’s strength and resilience
Each year, the Chasing Rainbow Award is given to people or organizations whose vision, dedication, and/or financial support has helped to build the Fox Tucson Theatre, Downtown Tucson, or the Greater Tucson area.” Past honored recipients are Mayor Bob & Beth Walkup, Richard Miranda, Paul Bonavia, Zuckerman Family Foundation, Bruce E. & Katie Dusenberry, Mike & Beth Kasser, Craig Sumberg, Mayor Rothschild and George & Margaret Larsen. This year, we decided to honor our community as a whole. Who better deserves the accolades for the years of commitment to The Fox and Tucson’s thriving arts scene than our supporters and fans!
As in years past, local corporations and private entities will provide sponsorship support for this vital fundraising effort. Our Crown Jewel Sponsor, The Bert W. Martin Foundation has issued a challenge match for all sponsorships, auction bids and special project gifts associated with the event, of any amount, up to a total of $100,000.
We’ve set the stage for our sponsors to really shine this year, ensuring your generosity and support will be spotlighted throughout the community AND we think the exclusive “perks” will be music to your ears! Learn more about the sponsorship levels and benefits here.
