Facility Maintenance Associate

 

Employment Status: Part-Time; 20 – 30 hours/week

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Experience Required: Minimum one (1) year work experience in building or facility maintenance role.

Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Department: Production & Facilities

Direct Supervisor: Facilities Maintenance Manager

Supervisory Responsibility: Direct (0); Indirect (0)

Primary Work Location: Theater and Administrative Office Building setting

Certification: None

Pay Rate: $18 – $22.50/hr

 

Job Description

The Fox’s Facility Maintenance Associate performs general maintenance and minor repairs to support the Facilities Department in ensuring the Fox Tucson Theatre Foundation’s physical plant stays safe, functional, clean, organized, and well maintained and represents the Fox professionally and with pride of place to all internal and external stakeholders. The position works closely with the Director of Production & Facilities and Facility Manager as a member of the Facilities team. Areas of responsibility include performing upkeep tasks, repairs, cleaning, and routine inspections.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, including theater front and back of house, offices, parking areas, outdoor forays and sidewalks, and all other owned properties.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on facilities and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Update exterior marquee signage with current information per provided schedule.
  • Maintain day-to-day safety and functionality of facilities, including completing maintenance orders, periodic cleaning tasks, and receipt of deliveries in timely and efficient manner.
  • Serve as onsite liaison for a range of contractors, vendors, and other partners needing access to the facility for work calls, deliveries, inspections, etc.
  • Report to Director of Production and Facilities and/or Facility Manager when issues identified.
  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions.
  • Other responsibilities as requested, as part of a positive and productive team pursuing the best for those we serve.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • General knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, basic electricity, carpentry, drywall, painting, and other building systems.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools and techniques.
  • Effective time management, organization and prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry 50 lbs, and to regularly lift and carry 25 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs; to reach overhead and at/below shoulder level; to push and pull to operate equipment and move heavy objects; to stoop, crawl and access enclosed spaces; and to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be comfortable working on ladders and lifts, and not have a problem with heights.
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on projects with minimal direction.
  • Flexible hours necessary, some early mornings and evenings.

Bartenders

Bartenders are responsible for mixing and serving drinks to patrons and upselling concessions and/or merchandise.  Bartenders are also responsible for setting up, cleaning, stocking bars as well as efficiently serving all products in a friendly and timely manner.

Schedule and Start Date: part-time, casual hourly; dependent on event schedule/sign up

Compensation: $13.25/hour + shared tips

Box Office Associates

The Box Office Associate performs sales of tickets and customer service in the Fox Tucson Theatre Box Office.

Schedule and Start Date: part-time, casual hourly; dependent on event schedule/sign up

Compensation: $15.50/hour
