More than just about any other group, the Buena Vista Social Club and related projects have brought Cuban music to the world stage. Their current version, the Buena Vista Orchestra, is coming to Tucson to perform at the Fox Theatre in October. This gives us a wonderful opportunity to dive into the rich cultural and musical heritage they represent, via the Fox’s Curious Conversation Series! Through stories, musical demonstrations, and a Q&A with participants, local Cuban musician Liudvik Cutiño will bring to life this vibrant corner of the musical world.  This event is free to attend, but please register above.

Liudvik Cutiño is a Cuban musician who graduated from el Instituto Superior de Arte de Cuba as a choir conductor and singer. As a songwriter and performer, he has appeared in concerts and on recordings with a range of legendary Latin American musicians, in addition to playing festivals across Cuba, Mexico, and Arizona.
