The Lapan Sunshine Foundation was founded in California in 1989. Patricia Lapan wanted to help students who may not qualify for scholarships but had the drive and determination to succeed. The Foundation moved to Tucson, Arizona in 2004 where it continues today. The mission of the Lapan Sunshine Foundation is to continue the legacy of Patricia Lapan by investing in the lives of youth and supporting the Lapan College & Career Clubhouse. Our mission is to continue the legacy of Patricia Lapan by supporting the Lapan College & Career Club directly and indirectly through partner programs, and broadly investing in the lives of youth through their education.

The Lapan Sunshine Foundation, Inc. envisions a time when every student in South Tucson has the resources, support and ambition to pursue their highest aspirations for academic and professional success. The Lapan Sunshine Foundation, Inc. will become recognized regionally and nationally as a model for local youth programs, ensuring comprehensive services that support students holistically throughout their education and beyond.
