Scamps on the Silver Screen 2025 – The Films

Co-hosted by The Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre and Fox Tucson Theatre

This 2-week summer camp, which took place in 2025, gave 28 kids ages 10-16 the opportunity to learn the art of storytelling without spoken dialog and to channel their inner Charlie Chaplin. Silent films were once the only movies, and they set the stage for all modern cinema to come – from Disney animations to action blockbusters. From start to finish, campers devised, wrote, storyboarded, shot, and acted in their own original, black-and-white, silent movies. Camp concluded with a red-carpet premiere of their work on the Fox’s silver screen – accompanied by a live Wurlitzer Theatre Organ performance by Khris Dodge!
