“…[the Ronstadt’s are] keeping the air of our town beautiful with song for well over a hundred years.”
– Excerpt from a Copper Letter Award from the City of Tucson to the Ronstadt Family in 1994
Join us for an incredible evening of music, family, and community featuring six different groups, led by the talented artists of the Tucson Ronstadt Family and a special welcome by Linda Ronstadt!
The Ronstadt Family’s musical legacy is well-established in Tucson and throughout southern Arizona — some may even use the word dynasty to describe the overwhelming amount of talented artists that have grown from the roots of this family.
In 1882, the arrival of Federico José María Ronstadt in Arizona marked the beginnings of an influence on Tucson’s history that encapsulated craftsmanship, commerce, health care, music, and civic responsibility for a western frontier territory on the verge of statehood. Arriving in Tucson at the age of fourteen, Fred brought with him a love of music that has been a feature of the Ronstadt households from the beginning. The old songs from Sonora are part of the family heritage to this day, as generation after generation of Ronstadts continue the family tradition, putting polished harmonies to a wonderful mixture of folk and popular songs, Mexican and American, old and new.

Everything has finally aligned for us to create a magical, historic evening of music & memories for family and friends. We hope everyone will join us! We have exactly the right place (the beautiful, historic Fox Theater), exactly the right time (we actually found a date where all six Ronstadt groups can come together), and a perfect reason, (raising awareness and funds for Jewish Family & Children’s Services to provide critical support and assistance to families from all backgrounds across southern Arizona).”
