Volunteers play a vital role at the Fox. Whatever your assigned tasks, you’ll enjoy being a part of a dynamic, performing arts-loving team while having the opportunity to see world-class artists.

Become an Usher

The Fox Theatre is blessed with a wonderful and committed team of ushers who volunteer their time to help make our patron experience as positive as possible. We have over 150 performances and tens of thousands of patrons every year, each of whom needs to get from the front door to their seat and have an enjoyable experience at the Fox. We rely almost exclusively on volunteers to make this possible. Usher responsibilities include: Greeting guests (and tearing tickets) at the door, directing and assisting patrons to their seats, helping patrons navigate our lobbies (concession areas, restrooms, etc.), light cleaning of the theatre after the show, and more.

Fundraising Event Support

Throughout the year, the Fox development committee plans and oversees various fundraising events and donor receptions. Volunteer assistance is welcome in both planning and execution of these events.

The Fox Foundation Office Support

We occasionally need office support (weekdays, daytime) to organize show collateral, answer phones, file documents, and various other types of light office work.

College Internships

We just may have the most fun internships available in Tucson! Not only do you get the chance to see great shows and work (and learn from) our staff of experienced show business professionals, you might also get to meet a few of your favorite artists along the way! There is always a lot of action happening at the Fox and our hands-on interns are right in the middle of it all. We offer flexible hours, but only reliable and enthusiastic students should apply.

Students pursuing degrees in theatre arts, music, film and similar fields tend to work out well, as do business, theatre management, marketing and/or non-profit management students.
