The Magical Ring: A Story + Theatrics for Remembering that Difficulties Will Pass
A young king hears rumor of a magical ring that will help him become a better ruler. Join his trusted advisor as he sets off on a long quest to find the ring, only to discover that it is not quite what the king had in mind… Together we’ll dive into this old tale, along with some fun, related activities, to get a wider perspective during this moment when SO many people feel so “done” with the current situation.
With kids out of school, we know that families and educators are scrambling to find meaningful ways to support them. At the same time, everyone is dealing with a range of heightened social emotional challenges, ranging from feeling “stir crazy” or isolated, to struggling with anxiety or overwhelm.
Understanding the power of performing arts to catalyze SEL (Social Emotional Learning), the Fox Tucson Theatre’s KIT (Kids In the Theatre) Program is stepping out of the theatre and (virtually) into homes to offer little weekly doses of live performing arts designed to make a difference.
Share this fun and enriching opportunity with your students, along with anyone else who may want to join in on Tuesday mornings on the Fox’s Facebook Page.
