Join us for an evening of celebration honoring our 90-year history, reflect on this present moment of pause and look forward to moving ahead arm and arm with the many loyal Fox Fans and lovers of performing arts across our vibrant, resilient community!
We’re pulling out all the stops to offer a unique online streaming event that has a little bit of song, a nostalgic bit of video, a LOT of wonderful deals and a few Fox surprises to set the stage for a community-wide celebration!
Song Premiere – Ann Hampton Calloway will record a special song from the Fox Stage to be premiered during our October 25th live broadcast. The song was written specifically for The Fox and Fox Fans everywhere for our Always Chasing Rainbows Celebration!
Online Auction – The Fox’s Chasing Rainbows Auction has always been a “show-stopper,” and this year’s event will certainly live up to those high expectations! Many items will surely take center stage with exclusive signed artist memorabilia, travel packages (one that even includes a private jet), collectibles, restaurant/chef experiences and much more! The best part is that this year, EVERYONE can attend and bid on the very special offerings. Watch our e-blasts and social media posts to find out when you can register for one of the most fun silent auctions of the season!
Fox Documentary (or, the Story of Us) – Herb Stratford, the Fox Executive Director who was instrumental in bringing The Fox back to life in 2002, debuts his updated documentary that relives our beloved theatre’s story from it’s opening in April 1930 with a huge street party and the film premiere of Chasing Rainbows to her refurbishment and re-opening as a vibrant performing arts venue. Then, Herb will bring his piece to the present starting with The Fox’s first live concert up to The Fox becoming a keystone for economic growth in downtown Tucson and the place to be for gathering together and enjoying the shared experience of music, dance, laughter and (as always) classic films.
Chasing Rainbows Award – Each year, the Chasing Rainbow Award is given to people or organizations whose vision and dedication has helped to build the Fox Tucson Theatre, Downtown Tucson, or the Greater Tucson area. Past honored recipients are Mayor Bob & Beth Walkup, Richard Miranda, Paul Bonavia, Zuckerman Family Foundation, Bruce E. & Katie Dusenberry, Mike & Beth Kasser, Craig Sumberg, Mayor Rothschild and George & Margaret Larsen. This year, we decided to honor our community as a whole. Who better deserves the accolades for the years of commitment to The Fox and Tucson’s thriving arts scene than our supporters and fans!
