Irish Christmas in America – November 26th

The hugely popular Irish Christmas in America show, now in its 12th season, features top Irish music, song and dance in an engaging performance rich in history, humor and boundless energy. Produced by Oisín Mac Diarmada of award-winning lrish group Téada, the 2016 tour brings back the amazing Séamus Begley, (TG4 Traditional Singer of the Year) along with the immense vocal talents of Sligo’s Niamh Farrell. This family-friendly performance features evocatively-sung Irish ballads, lively instrumental tunes and thrilling Irish dancing, while evocative photographic images provide a backdrop to some of the rich historical traditions.

As a baby, Buddy (Will Ferrell) crawls into Santa’s toy bag and is whisked off to the North Pole, where he is raised as an elf. Buddy ultimately heads to his birthplace of New York City to seek out his roots. Unfortunately, they turn out to be a “Scrooge”-like father and a cynical stepbrother who doesn’t believe in Santa. Worst of all, everyone seems to have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. But using his elf ways, Buddy sets out to win over his family and save Christmas in New York! This film has quickly become a Christmas comedy classic!

 Brighten your holidays with Lightwire Theater’s A Very Electric Christmas. Audiences of all ages will treasure this magical and captivating tale of family, friendship and hope set to timeless holiday hits including Nat King Cole, Mariah Carey and Tchaikovsky. In this wonderful story, Santa’s helpers are putting the final touches on presents as a young bird named Max and his family head south for the winter. When Max gets blown off course during a snowstorm, he ends up alone and lost at the North Pole. His adventure begins when he tries to make his way back home. Lightwire Theater, known for their signature brand of dazzling visuals, poignant storytelling and music designed to evoke imagery is performed in complete darkness.

Starting at 5:30pm The Fox is teaming up with Ben’s Bells to offer activities with the kids before The Polar Express! Take photos with the conductor and Christmas elves! Plus, the kids will receive a magical bell! This event will be held during both movie showings. 

This touching and memorable Christmas story of a boy who has reached that certain age when he begins to have doubts about whether or not Santa Claus is real. It happens late one Christmas Eve. The young boy is lying awake, straining to hear the sound of sleigh bells ringing from Santa’s sleigh. Suddenly, his room begins to shake, and he hears a thunderous roar outside his window. He jumps from his bed and runs to his window where surprisingly, he sees a train parked on his lawn! Grabbing his robe, he rushes out the front door and stops and stares in awe at the huge, steaming train. The train’s conductor (voiced by Tom Hanks) startles the boy further by asking him if he is getting aboard…

…and the adventure begins!
