Martina McBride has sold out shows across the country and recently made history as the first solo female artist to debut at #1 on the Top Country Albums chart with an independently released and distributed album in the chart’s 50-year history. The project marks her fifth chart-topping debut.
Martina was awarded the Covenant House Beacon of Hope Award and Music Business Association’s prestigious 2015 Harry Chapin Memorial Humanitarian Award for her philanthropic efforts on behalf of domestic violence and for using her voice throughout her musical career with songs like “Independence Day” and “A Broken Wing.”
Through her Team Music Is Love charity initiative, Martina partners with non-profit causes to help many of the towns she’s performing in. Martina also invites fans to join her team in making the world a better place through the power of music. Since 2011, Team Music Is Love has been responsible for many successful fundraising and volunteer projects helping causes such as hunger relief, cancer research, combating domestic violence and helping children in need. Opening for Martina McBride is Tucson local star, Kaylor Cox. Kaylor is a 19-year-old country music singer/songwriter, originally from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Living in Tucson, Arizona for 9 years, she now works on her music career full time. She plays guitar as well as piano and enjoys writing original music.
