A Culinary Experience Designed to Showcase Downtown Chefs and Benefit Tu Nidito and The Fox Tucson Theatre!
The Third Annual City of Gastronomy Downtown Chef’s Table will take place on Sunday, October 29th at 5:30pm at Chef Janos Wilder’s Carriage House. With the upcoming opening of the his new event space and cooking school, Wilder, founder of the Downtown Chef’s Table (first held in October 2014), is looking forward to holding the second event at the new space which can accommodate up to 160 guests.
Originally established to honor the culinary renaissance of downtown Tucson, the second event will also celebrate the prestigious UNESCO City of Gastronomy honor. The menu will reflect each chef’s individual style representing the rich blend of cuisines that have put Tucson on the map as a distinctive culinary destination.
Proceeds from the event, which was a sell-out success last year, will once again be split between two non-profit organizations, Tu Nidito and the Fox Tucson Theatre. Chef Wilder is looking forward to another successful event. “We are thrilled to be hosting the second annual Downtown Chef’s Table at The Carriage House and to celebrate Tucson’s designation as UNESCO City of Gastronomy. I can’t wait to have to all of these talented chef’s in our kitchen bringing their skill to bear promoting downtown and Tucson as a whole as we raise money for the Fox Theatre and Tu Nidito“.
Priced at $150 per person, the City of Gastronomy Downtown Chef’s Table will begin at 5:30pm with a selection of craft cocktails and paired appetizers. A multi-course wine paired dinner will follow at 6:30pm. Participating Chefs/owners are Janos Wilder and Jerry Alday from DOWNTOWN Kitchen + Cocktails, Erika Bostick from Agustin Kitchen, Carlotta Flores from El Charro, Kris Vrolijk from Proper, Chris Bianco from Pizzeria Bianco, Travis Reese from 47 Scott, Patricia Schwabe from Penca and Tyler Fenton from Reilly. Prior to each course, chefs will discuss their inspiration for their particular creation with the guests.

Carriage House is located at 146 E. Broadway, with the entrance on Arizona Avenue just east of DOWNTOWN Kitchen + Cocktails.
