Annual Report & Economic Impact Survey

The Fox Tucson has hosted some incredible sold-out concerts in the last year or two, including Stephen Stills, Steve Winwood, Vince Gill, Peter & Paul, Lily Tomlin, Lyle Lovett, Gordon Lightfoot, Kenny Loggins, Taj Mahal, Willie Nelson, BB King and the Gipsy Kings (just to name a few!).  The “crown jewel of downtown” is also know for screening pristine 35mm prints of much beloved Hollywood films (“film as it was meant to be seen”), and for hosting many memorable community events (fundraising concerts, provocative lectures, free 2nd Saturday concerts, and more)!

The Fox Tucson Theatre Foundation continues to move towards greater financial independence by holding costs down, generating additional revenue thru increased and smarter programming AND through fundraising events like Oscar Night America, Bollywood for Tucson, and our Chasing Rainbows Gala, now in its fourth year!

As a recent economic impact survey commissioned by the Foundation suggests, the Fox Theatre is an essential economic driver in the current resurgence of downtown.  The survey found that the Fox brings more than $3.4 million into downtown annually (this includes $1.8 million spent by Fox patrons and supporters, and over $1.2 million at downtown’s many restaurants and bars.
